It’s a funny story, really. Let’s take a quick trip back to 2021. Picture this: it’s 11 AM, Afrikaans HL class. Our fearless leader, Dann-Nel (yes, that’s his real name—and a good one, isn’t it?), is busy explaining to the Head of Department why starting a business in South Africa is a lost cause. Fast forward to today, and... well, here you are, on our website. Guess he was wrong about that one. Funny how life works, right?

The idea for Dan Connect started brewing in 2022. Back then, Dann-Nel was a Computer Networking student with a bursary from a Bloemfontein company—one that, let’s just say, wasn’t exactly financially reliable. With bills to pay and no safety net, he fell back on what he knew best: fixing computers and making small tech sales. What started as a side hustle soon turned into something bigger after a coffee chat with his friend, Boots (yes, that’s his actual name). Over that cup of coffee, Dann-Nel started talking about a big dream—something ambitious, something worth building from the ground up.

And just like that, Dan Connect was born. The slogan, "Hyping You Up For a Better Connection, " came to him just minutes later—one of those lightbulb moments that feels like pure magic. With nothing but determination, God’s grace, and plenty of late-night prayers, Dan Connect grew from a small hustle into a real business. At first, it was all about selling computers, routers, and printers—basically anything tech-related we could get our hands on.

But 2024? That’s when things really started to click. We brought in a talented graphic designer to freshen up our branding, expanded our supplier network, and made a big move to avoid burnout by bringing on our incredible Social Media Manager, Lynn-Mari Minnaar. She’s an absolute rockstar, and we’d be lost without her. With the support of friends, family, and—most importantly—God, Dan Connect became a one-stop shop for all your tech needs.

And this? This is just the beginning. We’ve got big plans.
