Absolute shocker... 11/04/2012 Security at the gate told me I was too late and would not let me in, I said i had a booking and was assured by reception i could arrive any time. Security told me I was rude and must go stay elsewhere, after phoning the reception, was told if the security did not wish to let me in there was nothing she could do, as they were a seperate company. I have stayed here many times before but never again!!! (no way of contacting management via telephone or email (crownlodge.co.za does not seem to be currently running). I stay all over the country and have never had a problem in 15 years at any establishment.. I had driven up from DBN late, was sober and had one of my staff alongside me - no-one can claim racism or alcohol had any part - just amazed that security is management and reception is told what to do by security... (they were laughing the whole time).
