ChildLine North West

Mission: To protect children from all forms of violence and create a culture of children's rights in the province.
Vision: To give the province's orphans and vulnerable children a better future, to protect and promote their wellbeing and dignity and to provide assistance to children in crisis throughout the province.

Objectives:

• Providing psycho-social support to children in crisis through telephone counselling and therapeutic services.
• Providing training to capacitate caregivers, creche teachers, adolescents, service providers and other professionals to better protect and take care of children.
• Conduct awareness campaigns in schools to educate children on child abuse, children's rights and resources available throughout the province.
• Provide protective housing by means of accommodation to children in need of alternative care with screened place of safety / foster parents.
• Provide a day care centre for children in the houses who are of creche going age and children from the surrounding area.
• Assist children / families to acquire birth and identification documents, access social grants, enrol in schools and provide with school uniforms and food parcels
