i am visiting your place pretty regular. the previous time, i noticed that you already got 10% added on, does not matter if the service was good or bad. i pointed it out to the then on duty supervisor that it is very easy to miss it and then the client just adds on another 10% or more. this method can very easily be misleading and i am sure i was caught out all the previous times, seen that i normally trust the waiters and the amount on the bill to be correct. i, then requested the supervisor to transfer the message to the person in charge / owner. i requested it to be changed. big was my surprise when we got there yesterday and received the bill after-wards. i was nearly caught again by paying a 10% fee, on top of the already-added total. i, again, spoke to the supervisor and on a strict, but very civilized matter, requested him to make sure the message is transferred to the relevant boss / owner. i also show him a newspaper article where-in consumer rights were discussed. according to this article, consumers, for the first time ever, have got considerable lots of rights, which one is, not to be mislead. this legislation was promulgated recently and an ombudsman was appointed. two guides are available. the first one is called "Know Your Consumer Rights - Pocket Guide to the Consumer Protection Act, by Neville Melville. the second one is a bigger and momentous one, more pointed to the supplier, but also user friendly and also by Neville Melville.
