Hello! My name is Rudi Van Zyl, and I am long overdue for an introduction here. I’m South African, Cape Town born and raised and currently reside in Cape Town. I’m the guy behind the camera working to serve my couples thru wedding films that focus on intentional story telling with a bit of spice. When I’m not working, which is rare, I enjoy hiking/backpacking/mountaineering with friends and traveling to new places!

It has been an absolute WILD ride since I started this company back in 2008. I’ve been able to grow incredibly quick thanks to the help and friends and family. There are tons of positive change happening in 2023 and beyond! From a new website to a complete business rebrand and overhaul, I cannot wait to share everything! I’m really looking forward to working with all of my upcoming couples and I’m thankful for all of the phenomenal couples I’ve had the honour of working with these past few years. I can confidently say, for the first time in my life, that I’ve found my purpose and I’m loving every second of it.

I started creating cinematic wedding films in 2008 when I filmed my friend’s wedding.

This was the same year in which I started filmmaking professionally, so I’m super grateful he took a chance on me! From there I fell in love with falling in love. I’ve handcrafted countless wedding films, and the feedback I get from my couples is always overwhelming and humbling.

I’m by your side from the time you book until after you’ve received your wedding film. I want the experience of working with me to be just as amazing as the film itself. I value diversity, my brand is an ally to the diversity of religion and LGBTQ community, and I am an animal rights activist.

I’m a native South African and have lived in Cape Town most of my life. I know the area like the back of my hand. Some of my favourite things are spending time with my significant other, playing with my kids, exploring nature and outdoor adventures & act
