Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value Work was to be done on a Audi's waterpump. The car has a extended warranty and a provisional quote was given on the original part from Audi until the part could be removed and a cheaper price could be sourced. Well the exact part was sourced at Masterparts. The mechanic working on the car gave me the part number. So the original quote was R11, 000 and the insurance was on going to pay 25% of R8000 as the vehicle was still in the last 60 days of initial warranty period. From here on what a bunch of ruthless shameless skelms. Work was performed and I was told I owe R7000 with the insurance paying the other R2000. They have given me R2000 discount on the part. To my surprise the part is only R1335 plus their 45% mark-up plus the 3 hours labour, as the felt sorry for me, @ R550 per hour. Labour should have been 5 hours. So the whole job is only just over R5000. What a complete rip-off and they are RMI registered. What a bunch of crooks! Got the invoice 5 days later. Now anybody in their right mind can see that this is a complete rip-off. They can't find the invoice was the excuse. This will be reported to RMI and the insurance. I would not recommend anyone there and suggest you stay away as far as possible from this place!!! What a bunch of unethical scammers, no other word to describe them!!!
