I've been taking my car to Arnolds for the last 7 years. I've found that they go out of their way to help you - I went through a stage where my car kept not starting. Initially we thought it was just the battery. It turned out to be a bigger problem and Arnolds were determined to get to the bottom of it. On the mornings when my car wouldn't start, Pete would happily send someone out to help me free of charge. I never felt that they were ripping me off, which as a woman often happens as soon as you walk into a garage! Of course as per the other review it is always good to get a second quote when you're faced with such a large amount. But I have always recommended Arnolds to friends and will continue to do so.

I took my car to Arnolds for a minor service ahead of selling it and got told my flickering oil light was the pressure, which in turn was the crank and that the whole lot would be 30k more. Instead of agreeing I asked for a quote & took the car elsewhere where they confirm the oil lights was just the switch and that Arnolds had not even checked the oil pressure. Cost me R1200 to get a new switch and drove fine afterwards. Needless to say I never got called with Arnolds quote. Watch out!
