APEX MECHANICAL TOOLS, Gqeberha

My experience with Apex Mechanical Tools. I placed two different orders for generators on 28 June 2023 and 30 June 2023. Those generators were for a tender in one of the government departments. It was a fake tender. The salesperson at Apex Mechanical Tools was informed about the situation and the orders were cancelled before went out. Payment for those orders was already paid in full. The salesperson promised to refund me, and that their Finance Department would refund me within a reasonable time. I kept on contacting the salesperson and he kept on promising that I would get my refund. in August 2023 I visited the address of Apex Mechanical Tools in Gqeberha, and could not find that address. I even made some inquiries in the vicinity without any success. From there when I phone the salesperson and the receptionist, my calls were dropped. I was left with no option, except to report the conduct of Apex Mechanical Tools to the National Consumer Commission (NCC). Apex Mechanical Tools is currently under investigation for contravening, Consumer Protection Act. On 3 July 2024, I contacted the receptionist at Apex Mechanical Tools about my refund, and she requested that should come personally at Apex Mechanical Tools, and she would take to the relevant office that would finalize my refund. The agreement was that as soon as I reached the place, I should call their office, and they would send a person to come and take me to their location. On 10 July 2024, I visited the place as agreed, and when I called the office, I was informed that the receptionist was absent from duty. I explained to the person who answered the phone, who happened to be the same salesperson, the reason for my visit, and he dropped my call. On 15 July 2024, I phoned the receptionist, and after realizing that it was me, calling she also dropped my call. That is my current experience with Apex Mechanical Tools.
