Alison is one of the first Tribal Fusion Bellydance teachers in Johannesburg. Alibelly Tribal opened its doors in January 2008 welcoming fledgling dancers of all ages and persuasions from those wanting to learn the darkly dramatic tribal style to those wanting time out away from the stresses work and home.

Drawing from her 9 years in the bellydance world as a student dancer, costume designer and teacher Alison teaches with dedication, patience and passion. Alison has her beginners teachers certificate from Jewels of the Nile and has been a student of Candida di Giandomenico and Astrid Lewis. She has taken workshops locally with Cape Towns Soma The fusion Bellydance Company and Ajsa Samia, and Akasha as well as Bellydance Superstars Sharon Kihara, Samantha Emanuel and Bozenka. Former Bellydance Superstar Sherri Wheatley and Scotlands Laura Montieth.

Alison discovered Tribal Fusion style bellydance in 2006 and was mesmerised by this precise, controlled modern form of bellydance. Since then she has poured herself into learning everything she can about this ever evolving style.

Alibelly differs from other bellydance schools in that they are not a commercial studio, preferring to exhibit their dance as an art.
Alibelly students are dedicated to sharing this art form with their community and creating a close knit tribe of like minded women within their studio.
