The late Rev van Achterbergh gave this piece of land to the NG kerk (Dutch Reformed Church) more than 50 years ago. The first campers used tents. Later on sleeping units and a hall was erected. During the last six years Achterbergh was upgraded, by the Highveld Synod to a three star multi-functional centre! The campsites are well maintained. The halls may serve a variety of purposes with different arrangements.

A staff of 16 members ensure that you spend time in a homely atmosphere, eat home made meals, sleep in clean and well kept facilities and enjoy the pools, kloof and quiet of nature.
