Acacia Specialty Chemicals is a subsidiary of Rolfes Holdings Limited. Rolfes, a listed company and a well-established name in South Africa and internationally. The company concluded a successful BEE transaction with Vuwa Investments and was listed on AltX during 2007. The company's listing was transferred to the Main Board of the JSE during 2011. The divisions of Rolfes serve various players in the chemical industry in Southern Africa. Rolfes Colour Pigments International is active in resins, organic and inorganic pigments. Rolfes Chemicals sells solvents, lacquer thinners, surfactants, cleaning solvents, creosotes and waxes. The agri-chemicals division manufactures and distributes products including herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, adjuvants, foliar feeds, soluble fertilisers, and enriched compost pellets. Rolfes Silica mines and beneficiates various grades of silica primarily for the metallurgical, water filtration, fertiliser and construction industries.
