Description
THE ACVV IS THE OLDEST WELFARE ORGANISATION IN SA THAT RENDERS COMPREHENSIVE SOCIAL WELFARE SERVICES TO FAMILIES IN NEED.
Children, families and older persons in need, irrespective of language, religious persuasion, gender or sexual orientation.
The ACVV was established on 1 September 1904 in Cape Town by a group of women who wanted to offer active and practical help to victims of the Anglo Boer War. These services grew and transformed from emergency relief, primary health care, educational programmes and welfare work to comprehensive child and family care services that include services to older persons.
In more than 570 communities in cities and rural areas of the Western Cape, Northern Cape, Eastern Cape and a small part of the North West Province. Consult the “ACVV Contact Points”.
