27 May update: 36 days have passed and I still have not received any update from this useless company. Their sales manager promised to look into the matter a week ago and get back to me. No response has been received. They have basically just stolen my money. Avoid this company at all costs. If you decide to do business with this company, i would recommend looking at the reviews customers have left, especially regarding refunds and supply of wrong parts. What a terrible experience dealing with Online Car Parts. I would not recommend having any dealings with this company and would hope that other clients have had a better experience with this Company than I have had. I have experienced the worst customer service ever with this company in my entire life. My sad story begins when I ordered a part for a vehicle that I required urgently via their online portal. The system indicated that the part was in stock in their warehouse and I opted to collect as I assumed based on the information on their website, that I could get it immediately and would not have to wait 2 days for delivery. As this was ordered on the 15th April (Easter Weekend), I accepted that I would only be able to collect the part on the 19th April, being the first working day after the holidays. On the morning of the 19th April I contacted Online car parts at 08h07 to enquire whether I could come to collect the part that morning. I was told that the person dealing with online orders was not yet at work, and that they would contact me immediately as soon as they came in. They never did contact me. I then called in at 08h48 and managed to speak to the person involved and I was told that the part will arrive at their Randburg store in the late afternoon, as they had a backlog due to the easter weekend. This is understandable, however no one contacted me at all on that day. On the 20th April called in the morning and was told that the part had not arrived as yet but would be there later that morning and they would contact me to let me know the status of the order. I made 4 phone calls to online car parts as not once did they keep their promise to phone me back. On the last call they said they would give me an update the following morning. On the 21st April I received a WhatsApp message from their company at 10h59 stating that they cannot get the part despite it reflecting as being in stock, and asked if they could refund me my money. I was quite upset as they had wasted my time and gave them my banking details in order to process the refund. I eventually sourced the part from an alternative supplier. I waited, however no refund was forthcoming. On the 28th April I decided to follow up again via their WhatsApp group. I got no response despite the message being received. I followed up again on the 3rd May, 5th May and the 10th May and all my requests for updates were completely ignored. On the 10th May, I then complained to their customer service department, and I got a response where they formally apologised for the bad customer service and that they would attend to my refund and this would be allocated to Clara, furthermore that I should contact her regarding the refund. I again requested that the money be transferred into my account and provided them with confirmation of banking details, and that they provide me with proof of payment. No response was received. On the 13th May, I followed up again via email to the company contacts provided, requesting an update on my refund and received no response. I did however receive a reply to the WhatsApp messages that I had sent a few days earlier stating that they were not aware that I was not refunded as yet. On the 16th May I then contacted the call centre directly and was given the run around. Apparently only Clara could help me and she was on lunch. They said they would phone me back as soon as she returned. No one contacted me at all. On the 17th May, I contacted the call centre

Nkosi gave me excellent customer service, with smiles and jokes even though the store was about to close. I had come to collect a radiator. He lifted it himself to my car outside. Keep up the good work Online car parts

I just wanted to thank the management of Online Car Parts for taking time to locate me for my wallet which l had left on their counter. They managed getting hold of me as l had left my details with them after i had ordered jumper cables from them. Luckily my wallet was left in the hands of good samaritans, found it, and nothing is missing. THANKS AGAIN

Good day, I would just like to give credit where it's due. Me and my family went to Johannesburg from Rusternburg. After just passing Lanseria we encountered significant loss of power and check engine light on my Renault Clio. We staggered until Northumberland robots, that’s when the car could move no more. I googled for the nearest car repairs place and l found online car parts in Northview Shopping Centre. I assumed they fix cars as well, of which l was wrong. We had to hire a tow truck to take us there. After having a chat with one of the employees called Mr Augustine, he explained to me that they only sell parts but don’t fix cars. Despite that, he asked the symptoms my car was showing and l explained to him. He right away identified ignition coils as the culprit. I asked if l could by them right away and surprisingly they had them on stock. I bought them for R 594. After buying he pointed us to a repair shop just meters away. The mechanics confirmed as well that its ignition coil for sure. After a while l was driving with my family in my car as good as new. I have never seen a spare shop with care and knowledge from the sales team like this one. It's super clean, staff are friendly. Im so out of words!!!!!

I live in KZN and tracked down ignition coils for my Audi A4 B7 which were sold at unbelievable low price of R594 at online car parts store on their website. Theo gave excellent customer service, in that he arranged to have it delivered to my place and surely I received it. Wonderful service, much appreciated.

Very bad service. Hardly any communication. Once they have got your money no service at all. Advertise that do have the parts and then they don't have it. Now you sit and wait and nothing happens.

Pravesh is a pathetic excuse for a manager, verbally abuses clients over the phone. Told me that I must not give him my s**t and refused to assist further with my warranty claim

What a pity I cannot assign a negative rating to reflect the absolute ignorance, incompetence and spiteful inaction demonstrated by each and every one of the individuals I had to deal with in this company – by name salesmen Robyn and supposed manager Pravesh and admin/accounts Carla (?) and or Clara(?) as well as whoever answers the landline(3 different voices) . 6 November 2021 I inquired from Robyn about a solenoid for a Isuzu based on the website showing “in stock” – was told no – no stock ☹ but he will source one and then get back to me. 14h05 22 November 2021 I had to call and remind the individual about the spare …………… suddenly he now has stock and will send me a pro forma invoice – he only managed to produce the correct invoice 08h52 24 November 2021 – I paid via the required EFT using the specified reference 08h57 only 5 minutes later. When querying the extra shipping charge of R150 ex vat I was told the website is wrong and the advertised free delivery on orders over R950 cannot be offered to me – because my client was desperate for the item I just paid the price of the item plus the R150 delivery in the hope to make progress. What an absolute disaster. Because of Robyn’s inability to keep to his delivery promises my client decided he will seek help elsewhere so I got stuck with something I don’t need. Robyn agreed it was his fault and undertook to refund me fully if I return the item via Aramex – he would also refund my additional Aramex courier cost of R120 (I have the documentation proving the whole conversation and undertaking of the refund). So now it turns out Robyn apparently has gone AWOL and I was left with no spare because I sent it back on instruction of an employee of the company (Aramex confirms successful delivery) and the company is sitting on my money refusing to process my promised refund despite me giving my correct banking details to 3 people. Pravesh as manager was supposed to handle this after Robyn got fired/gone AWOL and he now will not respond to messages or take my calls in addition to insisting that whatever I agreed with Robyn is none of his business and that the courier cost will NOT be refunded at all. Calling the landline to try and speak to accounts/admin personally have me sitting wasting money for hours while the phones either just keep on ringing or simply is immediately put down. The supposed customer care link on the website was used to complete a request for help and THAT also has gone unanswered. Its now more than 2 months later, I am still out of R2165 and I can only recommend any person interested in any part or service from this company to find an alternative source that actually is interested in doing business and also looking after their own reputation. This bunch can only waste your time and money. Anybody wanting the proof can get it from me personally to avail themselves of the correct facts stated here.

THE WORST CUSTOMER CARE EVER! If you consider doing business with online car parts Dont! Ordered and paid for part. Went there to collect, got the incorrect part. They then told me they will get the correct part the following week. Made me pay R120 for delivery. Got call 2 days later telling me they will supply me a second hand part for the price of the new one R1495.1 week later they delivered the part. Mechanic fitted the part which dit not work. Mechanic fitted new part. Car sorted. Phoned online car parts who told me to bring back the part and they would refund my money less 20% handling fee Right. 150km round trip! Got there to be ignored, got told by sales person (keegan) that he had sold plenty of the parts and never had a problem. Got told that they would not refund my money at all and they don't care. So to all out there BE WARNED about online car parts.
