Big Brother to our new Flightline pack. The Ultra has extra carrying capability with a slim profile. It is long enough to carry a “D” O-2 bottle. The Ultra has a fold away backpack suspension, hideaway shoulder strap, and tear away trauma pouch.
The ALS Extreme pack is a truly unique animal. It is designed to meet the needs of EMTs and Paramedics who perform in severe environments such as skiing, rappelling, riding snowmobiles, or helitack insertions. The ALS Extreme sports six zippered compartments, including a removable top pocket, a fold away suspension system, and is built entirely from cordura and high count Ballistic nylon. It has ultra strong side handles, wand tunnels, and a hydration bladder sleeve. The body of the pack is very narrow to allow a full range of movement when on the rescuer’s back.
The Cyclone® New & Improved Pocket BVM® is today’s most compact, easy-to-use BVM available to provide ventilatory support to patients who are not breathing or who are in respiratory distress. Its unique collapsible design is quick-to-deploy, easy-to-operate and does not need to be manually inflated prior to use. To help reduce rescuer fatigue, this BVM requires minimum pressure for compression of the bag to ventilate and quickly recovers its shape during use. Packaged in a rugged, hard plastic, twist-top case, the Cyclone® New & Improved Pocket BVM® comes complete with oxygen tubing for delivering supplemental oxygen when possible.
ONE-WAY VALVE OPTION The SAM®CHEST SEAL is also available in a valve version. This version features a one-way valve, when its cap is removed. The one-way valve provides for low resistance flow of air out of the chest cavity while preventing ingress. The valve is also designed to prevent blockage internally. With the cap in place, the dressing is occlusive. The domed shape of the valve was specially designed to prevent obstruction of the air channels from items such as blankets, clothing, and body armor With its ultimate use in global combat zones, we optimized the SAM® Chest Seal for night vision. Both the packaging and chest seal can be viewed under no light conditions with the use of a night vision device. This allows for easier placement in all light conditions
The SAM® SPLINT is based on an ancient construction principle: curves are strong. The reason lies in the physics of curved surfaces, the same physics that allows skyscrapers and bridges to be built of I-beams and hollow columns rather than heavy steel pillars. A flat piece of sheet metal bends easily, but if you mold it into any of several "structural curves," it becomes much more rigid. Many such curves are possible, but for splinting with the SAM® SPLINT, you need only three basic curves. With these, you can convert a simple SAM® SPLINT into something so strong that people have even used it as an emergency canoe paddle or snow shovel. That's more than strong enough for any conceivable splinting need. At the same time, the SAM® SPLINT is extremely moldable, and soft enough to cut with ordinary household scissors. The result: with the proper choice of curves outlined in the training guide, almost any bone in the body can be splinted. It's even possible to use the SAM® SPLINT to create an emergency cervical collar for neck injuries. Also available is the SAM Splint XL at 5.5" wide, for improved support and immobilization of larger individuals.
