The end result is a new piece of furniture. ​ Re-upholstery is necessary when the fabric on the piece of furniture starts to fade, tear or look old. New foam in the seats is required when the seats do no longer sit comfortably or sink in. Sometime new foam is only necessary in the arms and backrests. Proper repair of most furniture pieces can only be determined when the piece is stripped and the upholsterer is able to look inside at the framework.
