Blue Wilderness’ shark volunteer and shark intern participants learn snorkeling, diving and scientific techniques to collect data that is vital to the management of some of the world’s vulnerable shark species. As well as shark diving and snorkeling with five species of sharks, shark volunteers get the chance to work in the Aliwal Shoal Marine Protected Area, one of South Africa most pristine and important marine biodiversity hotspots. As a shark volunteer, you will directly contribute to the conservation, research and education programmes on Blue Wilderness's shark volunteer and internship program.
