Land, Sea or Air Personal effects can be shipped by sea, air or land. Sea shipments are most often shipped in standard steel containers. There are two standard sizes: A 6 metre (20 foot) container which has a volume of 30 cubic metres (1050 cubic foot) A 12 metre (40 foot) container which has a volume of 60 cubic metres (2100 cubic foot) A 6 metre container generally accommodates a medium sized household without patio furniture and extras. A 12 metre container will normally hold a larger household. Seafreight to most destinations in the world is cheaper than airfreight but specific advice will be given to you by our consultants.
