Our strapping for fully-auto machine is straight (if you “hang” a length of it, it will not have a noticeable curve, or a noticeable “sloppy” side, when compared with the strapping some of our competitors offer).
It is the correct thickness for the job.
The thickness is even across the length and width, so the machine always feeds the strap properly.
Having a rectangular profile means that the edges are not sharp, so they do not cut into the components of the machine. Sharp-edged convex strapping will get lodged in the grooves which it cuts.
The edges of the strapping (of the grade for which I have quoted you), are smooth so they do not abrade the machine.
It has enough tread, so it is properly gripped for feeding and for tensioning.
The mixture of material used, is ideal for melting and sealing quickly and permanently.
Locally made strapping will not have the same mix, but at least all the other requirements need to be met before you use local strapping in any fully-auto machine.

When it comes to the strapping for semi-auto machine, the standard is similar, except that the strapping can be slightly less straight, and the edges do not need to be smooth, they can be uneven, because the machine design is different.
