In order to achieve this vision it aims to: To develop and maintain a national identity for the Chest movement in South Africa. To co-ordinate approaches to specific issues within the Chest movement. To lobby on behalf of the individual members at national and government level. To inspire involve, develop and encourage the member chests. To seek funding on a national level to implement at regional level. To co-ordinate national programs in which the individual member Community Chests participate in. To engage with international bodies such as United Way in order to ensure that the movement adopts best practices.
