I am a Fellow of the South African College of Surgeons, registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as a specialist Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon (equivalent of board certified). I am a member of the Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons of South Africa and of the International Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. I have been in private practice since 1998. My practice is almost exclusively cosmetic plastic surgery and cleft lip and palate surgery. I graduated from medical school in 1985 and attained my fellowship in Plastic Surgery in 1997. I have been practicing Plastic Surgery since 1994 and have been in my own private practice since 1998. My training was at the University of Cape Town and Groote Schuur Hospital (the venue of the world's first heart transplant). I have maintained links with the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Cape Town and I am actively involved in teaching, training and research. I have published and presented both locally and internationally on a variety of aspects of plastic surgery. Although the main emphasis of my private practice is on cosmetic surgery, I head the Cleft Lip and Palate Unit at the Red Cross Children's Hospital in Cape Town.

Men’s Clinic International was founded in 1996, and is currently the largest group male sexual health clinics, with 91 clinics, situated across South Africa. We contract the service of over 80 medical doctors. The success rate of our treatment is between 90-95% in patients with erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, depressed sexual libido and sexually transmitted infections. International studies show that 52% of males over the age of 40 suffer from erectile dysfunction. As primary health care providers Men’s Clinic international knows that males tend to postpone visiting general practitioners. By focusing on their most intimate problems such as erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, low libido and sexually transmitted infections, Men’s Clinic International is able to attract male patients to the practices. 80% of erectile dysfunction cases are directly related to a medical cause such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, neurological disorders and pelvic surgery or trauma. Of all the conditions that men face sexual problems are the most personal. Although they are very common, they are not inevitable or permanent, and today there are many modern treatments available. No matter how long a man has been experiencing a problem, it can be treated successfully.

Local B2B Reviews

Henrietta Lundall , 24 February 2026
My review is for Astrid Sadler who is a doctor at this practice. My daughter was her patient as she is the only one who subscribed to our medical aid's Beryl plan. She has a dreadful bedside manner but I overlooked that to my detriment. My daughter suffered from mental illness but visited Sadler for other complaints. In 2018 she developed severe headaches for which we tried everything including three visits to Astrid Sadler. On the last visit I accompanied my daughter to try and persuade the doctor to send her for a scan. At that stage my daughter was vomiting with neck pain and vision issues. Sadler again put it down to stress and send her away with painkillers. The result of this arrogant dismissal of a debilitating condition was that on 25 August 2019 my daughter suffered a massive stroke and seizure. She had a brain embolism. In spite of surgical intervention she passed away on 30 August 2019. When I was able to write I lodged an investigation with the HPCSA. They found for Sadler but did not supply reasons for their decision. I am writing this to say that anyone using this doctor must self-advocate and be firm. Do not allow her to dismiss your problems. She is not a God. Her actions have destroyed an entire family for whom my daughter was a priceless treasure. To add insult to injury Sadler vowed to reveal confidential information on my daughter should the complaint to HPCSA not go away. Be warned.
