Viewpoint Drug & Alcohol Rehab Centre was established in June 2011, however our staff and Directors have been around a lot long longer than 2011 and it’s not the first treatment facility we have been involved in. It all started in 2010 with Truth Recovery Centre. Truth was created to be the first 12 Ste Treatment Centre on the East Rand and the first long-term drug and alcohol treatment centre (3 months treatment). Truth was designed to be run by recovering addicts which gave it an added advantage when treating the disease of addiction. Truth Recovery Centre became a success almost immediately after opening its doors, so when the opportunity to open a second treatment facility was presented to us, we embraced that opportunity with open arms. The same core principles that Truth Recovery Centre was built on, were the same principles we implemented at the new facility known as Viewpoint Recovery Centre. Having the centre run by addicts and the same understanding of addiction has allowed us to create a loving, caring and understanding atmosphere. That atmosphere became one of recovery.
