DOMESTIC WORKER PAYROLL SOLUTION

As required by law any person making use of a domestic worker which works more than 24 hours in a month should register as an employer with the Department of Labour and comply with the following;

• UIF must be deducted monthly at a rate of 1% and 1% must be contributed by the Employer
• Payments along with the declaration form must be submitted to Department of Labour monthly
• An Employer has to give a payslip to the domestic worker when the salary is paid

With our service you will be able to comply with all the relevant legislation giving you peace of mind knowing all forms and payments are submitted on time and accurately

This also ensures your domestic is covered for unemployment

At a rate of only 1% of the salary paid
(up to a minimum fee of R15 per month)

• We will register your Domestic Worker for UIF
• Calculate the salary with any additional income (eg. Overtime) or deductions (eg.unpaid days)
• Administer any leave such as annual / sick / compassionate leave
• Send you monthly reminders of the salary to be paid
• Furnish you monthly with electronic payslips
• We will submit the UIF Declaration form and make payment on your behalf
• Details of your Domestic Worker is available along with financial information when required

The salary calculation overview

Salary is calculated based on days worked at a prescribed rate
o 1% employee deduction for UIF
o 1% employer contribution for UIF
o 1% Admin Fee (minimum R15.00)

Example

If you pay a domestic Worker R2,000.00 per Month;
Basic Salary = R2,000.00
UIF Employee = R20.00
UIF Employer = R20.00
Admin Fee = R20.00
Nett Salary = R1,980.00

Cost to You (Employer) = R2,040.00 per month
