The front suspension consists of vertical shock absorber , coil spring , on top is mounting which turn is attached the upper body side frame of the front wheel housing. The front suspension is mounted on a sub-frame. The control (wishbone) support a strut and connected to the sub-frame. An anti-roll bar (stabilizer bar) permit the stabilization of your car on the road is mounted on bar mounting and on each end of anti-roll bar is eye bolt straight stud or rod connected to the control arm. The components of the front suspension consists of strut with coil and shock absorber, wishbone (control arm), stabilizer bar, and sub-frame. The rear suspension on some cars is torsion axle and is attached at the bottom with shock absorber which is as strut. Mounting on the top attached to the body side frame and spring coil.
How To Check The front suspension ?
To check the front suspension component for wear first raise the front of the vehicle to allow both front wheels and suspension units to hang free.With an assistant pushing and pulling the front road wheels in and out at the top and then at the bottom, check for excessive looseness at the front wheel bearings, control arm, ball joint and the control arms bushes and to check the strut bar front mounting bushes.Check the tie-rod end, steering rack-end, virtual check for cv boot rubbers and steering rack rubber not broken .
FRONT END NOISE :
Loose upper and suspension mounting, loose or worn ball joint, noise in suspension cross axle , worn steering linkage or idler arm components, incorrectly adjust front wheel bearing if the car take separate bearing if the car have solid bearing you don't need to adjust it, must be replaced.
