NuDebt, as a business concept, was born when Brian Blignaut did his MSc in Leadership and Innovation at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. NuDebt Management (Pty) Ltd was registered as a business in 2003 and officially launched on 2 February 2004. NuDebt first found its feet in Meyersdal, with a staff compliment of 10. Brian soon realised that NuDebt would have to look for bigger space and moved to Newmarket Racecourse in 2006 where the staff grew to 30 people. In 2008 NuDebt built two office buildings in Raceview, Alberton and moved during the month of May. With acres of space, Brian thought that NuDebt would be at 13 Lenin Street for many years to come having grown to 45 people. After seeing immense growth in the following two years, NuDebt acquired 12 Lenin Street, 15 Lenin Street and 17 Lenin Street. NuDebt now has a staff compliment of 300 people. It is 2014 and NuDebt is thriving, working harder and smarter than ever to become the preferred debt collection and payment solutions company in South Africa. NuDebt is a certified BBBEE Level 2 contributor.
