The guest house boasts 16 bedrooms, all en-suite. Three of the rooms are furnished with double beds and the rest all with two single beds. Five rooms have full bathrooms; the other rooms have shower only. Seven of the rooms are part of the main house and the rest of the rooms all lead out to the garden and pool area. All rooms have been furnished and decorated to a very high standard and are equipped with TV with 10 channels, clock radio, tea/coffee making facilities, fans, heaters or undercarpet heating. Rooms are serviced daily. Full English buffet breakfasts are served in the dining room. Guests can relax at the licensed bar with pool table, in the lounge with TV, on the patio or at the lapa next to the swimming pool. A laundry service is available on request. La Palma is a wireless internet Hot Spot zone, so guests can access the internet from their rooms. Airport transfers can be arranged with a shuttle service. Our exquisite gardens and chapel provides the most romantic of settings for weddings which has attracted a multitude of couple’s over the years from all cultures, to pamper you perfectly with the most unique service a wedding venue can offer. The Gretna Green Chapel seats 150 guests and is set under thatch. It has been named after a small border town in Scotland, where, going back to the 1700’s and for some 250 years thereafter English law was on the side of the parents and couples under the age of 21 needed parental consent to marry. Across the border in Scotland it was legally possible for boys to get married at 14 and girls at 12 years of age without parental consent. Young eloping couples would dash for the border whilst Gretna's two Blacksmiths shops formed the backdrops for weddings performed in great haste lest the parents were in hot pursuit of the couple. Hundreds of thousands of weddings have taken place in this small town through the years.

We have 13 en suite rooms tastefully decorated and furnished. We are graded four stars by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa and have upheld these standards for the last 5 years. Our rooms provide all the amenities needed including Television with DSTV, Wireless Internet, Coffee and Tea Station, Bar fridge, Telephone, Clean Linen and Towels. Ceiling fans and panel heaters are also provided which is sufficient for Johannesburg¿s moderate weather climate. Each room and most of our other areas has been decorated with artwork from Analize Mulder. We have our multipurpose entertainment room which has a big screen with projector, poker table, built in ¿braai¿ (aka BBQ), and our local wines are on display. All of this is under roof with retractable doors that can be opened to take advantage of the good weather (which is most of the time) and closed so there is never an excuse not to be able to ¿Braai¿ or have some ¿Potjiekos¿. This area can also be used for having small meetings or get-togethers Food ¿ We offer a buffet style breakfast every morning that includes a selection of cereals, fruit salad, yoghurt, breads, cheeses and cold meat. We also have a hot section which varies with eggs prepared to order. We make use of a local coffee grower / roaster based in Sabie Valley from which fresh coffee is brewed every morning, Tea and juice is also available. We provide dinner on a pre booking basis and we are known for the quality of the meals served. All meals are produced in-house with a lot of attention placed on getting the most out of our excellent local produce. The dinner consists of a 3 course set meal taking in consideration any dietary requirements and any other requests whether it is religious or just a matter of not liking a specific ingredient.
